Winnie Andrus passed from this life on December 15, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

On January 25 1946 twins, Shirley Mae and Winnie Fay were born to Emma Jones Holman and L.V. Holman in San Augustine Texas! They spent their childhood there graduating from Lincoln High School in1963.

Winnie then attended Bishop College in Dallas for a semester. In the summer of 1964, Winnie, Shirley and their mother moved to Los Angeles, California where she and her sister attended Los Angeles City College. In that same year she met Sherman Andrus, who would become her husband on June 18th 1966. On June 8th 1969 Sherman Andrus, Jr. was born. Winnie and Sherman, Sr. celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary June 18, 2021.

Winnie is survived by her husband, Sherman; her sister, Shirley; grandchildren, Patrick and Samantha Andrus; nieces April Porter, Lauren Freeman, Lynn, Nicole and Robyn Andrus, and Diane Mason; nephews Lloyd, Lester, Larry Jr., and Lonny Dupechan; nephews Miles, Barry, Jaxon, and Bryan Andrus; cousins: Terry and Delano Holman, Martha Jean Branch, and Lowis Canton; and uncle Verdell Holman and family and the Dade families.

A graveside funeral service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City on Thursday, December 23 at 10:00am.
