William Denny Sayres passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019 at the age of 57 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born October 28, 1961 in Wichita KS to William Famous and Mary Ellen Rains Sayres.

He spent his younger years with his grandma, Duncan in Wichita, KS where he eventually started his own construction Company. He was a selfless, kind, and gentle soul. He was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He moved to Lamar, OK. And helped several people around the community working doing different things. Whether he was building houses, roofing, mowing, or just being a friend to you. He was a man of his word and he always treated you with love and respect.

William Denny Sayres was preceded in death by his father, William Famous Sayres. His paternal grandparents Bea Duncan and Alfa Sayres. By his maternal grandparents John and Mary Rains. His brothers Alfred Dale Sayres, Henry Vance Sayres, and Thomas Jerome Sayres.

He is survived by his mother Marry Ellen Remington of Harrison, AR. His best friend and favorite companion, Itty Bitty. His Daughter Melissa Garrett and her lads of Ponca City, OK. His son William Sayres of Lamar, OK. His niece that he claimed as a daughter, Veronica Sayres-Colbert. Her husband Ira Colbert of Enid, OK. And their kids. His sisters Lora Douglass of Enid, OK. Hope Young and husband Eugene of Omaha, AR. Melissa Alge and husband Tom of Harmon, AR. Dolly Remington of Steam Springs, AR. His brother Edwin Remington of Compton, AR. He is also survived by his grandmother, Nelle Sayres of Vian, OK. He is survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and friends that will cherish his memories.

Visitation will be October 24 from 9 AM to 8 PM at Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home in Wetumka, Oklahoma, and his services will be held there Friday October 25 at 3 PM. His internment will follow the funeral service and he will be laid to rest at the Sayres Family Cemetery.
