Wiley Crabill Nickell was born June 20, 1937 to Leon Nickell and Dorothy Reed. Wiley passed from this life on July 24, 2024 in Holdenville at the age of 87.

Wiley spent his life working on the farm with his father in Stonewall, Oklahoma. He and his father worked for a man named Dub Story for many years. In his younger years, he was known to be quiet and reserved until he got home around his family – then he would sometimes get ornery! Wiley loved to color. His favorite food was a hamburger.

Wiley loved all of his friends at Pioneer in Wetumka. Special mention to Emmarson Wainscott who called Wiley Grandpa.

Wiley was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Nickell and Dorothy Reed; brother, Elmo Nickell and his wife Lois Nickell; two sisters, Betty Nickell and Joyce Newberry; nephews, Mark Nickell and Tony Newberry.

Wiley is survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Chambers, David Nickell, Alec Nickell and Steven Nickell.

Honorary Pallbearers will be John Chambers and Rick Simmons.

Visitation for Wiley Nickell will be held Friday, July 26 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka.

Funeral services for Wiley Nickell will be held in the Spradlin Memory Chapel at Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 10:00 AM.

Graveside services will be held at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall, OK at 2:00 PM.
