Susanna Jean Marshall of Weleetka, Oklahoma passed away at the age of 78 on June 22, 2018 at her home. She was born in Hanna, Oklahoma on November 23, 1939 to Timothy O. Jackson and Luella Mae (Red) Jackson.

Susanna was raised in Hanna and she later moved to Weleetka with her parents. She married Sam Marshall on February 28, 1950, and from their union three children were born. Susanna lived in Oklahoma City for about fifteen years before returning to Weleekta and making it her lifelong home. In addition to spending many years as a homemaker, she later worked for 37 years as a custodian of Weleetka High School. Susanna was a member of Sand Creek Baptist Church. In addition to attending there, she loved going to church so much she often visited her brother's church in Okmulgee on Wednesdays.

Susanna is preceded in death by her husband, Sam; by her parents; by her daughter, Janice Marshall; her grandson, Max "Bubba" Frye, Jr.; great-grandson, Cayman Jay Cypress Frye; by her siblings, Thomas Jackson, Betty Ann Hogshooter, Lorene Buckley, Joe Jackson, Tecumseh Jackson, Louie Jackson, and Billy Jo Jackson; by half-siblings, Willie Jackson and Judy Walker; and nephew, Chris Jackson.

Susanna is survived by her son, Sam Marshall and his wife Alice of Weleetka, and son, Manuel Marshall of Weleetka; by five grandchildren: Andrea Frye and Spud Blanchard of Hollywood, Florida; Charles Frye and his wife Danielle of Hollywood, Florida; Samantha Frye and Trey Burris of Fairfax, Oklahoma; Sam Marshall, Jr. and his wife Amelia of Weleetka; and Kristina Marshall of Muskogee, Oklahoma; by fourteen great-grandchildren; by one great-great-grandchild; and by her brothers, Jackie Jackson, Andrew Jackson, Robert Jackson, and Jacob Jackson.

Funeral services for Susanna Jean Marshall will be held Monday, June 25 at 1:00pm at the First Baptist Church of Weleetka, Oklahoma. Rev. Alfred Harley and Rev. Harry Anderson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Sam Marshall, Jr., Charles Frye, Caden Blanchard, Jackson Frye, Ethan Marshall, Evan Marshall, and Chanon Frye. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Jackson, Andrew Jackson, Robert Jackson, and Jacob Jackson. Interment will follow funeral services at Hillcrest Cemetery in Weleetka, Oklahoma, under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka and Weleetka
