Shirley Marie Lafave was born on June 10, 1937 to Oliver and Stella Lafave in Lamar, Oklahoma. She passed from this life on March 30, 2024 at her home in Dustin.

Shirley married Terrel Cox on August 15, 1966. She lived in Dustin for 56 years. She was saved in the Hanna First Assembly of God church. She enjoyed working for over 20 years as a seamstress.

Shirley is survived by her brother, Sonny Lafave of California; her six children, Ray Terrel Cox of Heavener, Oklahoma, Billy Dean Cox of Henryetta, Travis Don Cox of Dustin, Kathryn Marie Gray of Dustin, Wesley Joe Cox of Pharoah, and Caroline Elizabeth Vanmeter of Dustin; as well as 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Shirley Marie Cox will be held from 9:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 3, 2024.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 4 at 12:00 P.M. at Dustin Cemetery.
