Sarah Annetta Duncan was born to Jesse Claude Boyd and Bessie Jane (Burns) Boyd on July 28, 1930 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. She passed from this life on October 26, 2017 at her home in Weleetka, Oklahoma.

Sarah grew up in Eufaula and later moved to California. In California, she worked for Georgia-Pacific, working a variety of jobs in their cardboard box manufacturing enterprise and serving as a stewardess for the union. She was known there for her diligent work ethic and honesty. She also attended the Assembly of God Church in South San Francisco.

Sarah married James Ernest Duncan, and their union was blessed with two children: Ronnie Boyd and Charolette Duncan Yandell.

Sarah and Ernest returned to Oklahoma in 1986, settling in Weleetka. In these later years, Sarah especially enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She gave many of the quilts she made to her family--though she always made sure that these gifts were earned!

Sarah is preceded in death by her parents, by her husband, Ernest, and by her daughter, Charolette Yandell.

Sarah is survived by her son, Ronnie Boyd; two brothers, Donald Boyd and Robert Arnold Boyd; her grandchildren, Ronnie Boyd, Jr., James Yandell, Kimberley Winn, Jessie Boyd, and Guy Boyd; great-grandchildren, Craig Yandell, Larissa Yandell, Kyleigh Yandell, Autumn Yandell, Kevin Boyd, Rachel Boyd, Guy Boyd, Jr., Charlotte (Charlie) Boyd, Emily Boyd, and Joseph Boyd.

Graveside funeral services will be held for Sarah Duncan on Monday, October 30 at 2:00pm at Hillcrest Cemetery in Weleetka, Oklahoma under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home. The following will serve as pallbearers: Craig Yandell, James Yandell, Tim Rowland, Gerry Winn, Shawn Brownlee, and RJ Jordan.
