Robert Dewain
Freeman
Sep 23, 1943 — May 15, 2018
Eufaula
Robert Dewain Freeman, 74, died on May 15, 2018 at his home and with his family in Eufaula, Oklahoma.
Robert was born in Marysville California on September 23, 1943 to Robert and Thelma (Baker) Freeman. Robert's family traveled on the rodeo circuit, and so they traveled extensively during his childhood. His family settled down a bit when Robert's father's health began to decline, and Robert left school at Elsinore Military Academy to help take care of his parents and his siblings.
After caring for his family, Robert settled in Whittier, California, where he raised his own children, Tammy and Dewain. He was a hard worker, and applied his industry and diligence to his trucking company, Poverty Trucking, where he owned and operated two trucks.
Robert loved old cars, and he loved his diesel trucks. He was also a biker, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle through the mountains of California.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Thelma; by his nephew, Bryan Gray, and by his good friend who his family affectionately knew as "Mr. Bill," and his dear friend Patricia Boswell.
Robert is survived by his children, daughter Tammy Paradies and husband Justin of Eufaula, Oklahoma, and son Dewain Freeman and wife Irene of Souda Bay, Greece; by his siblings, Sheila Lee Gray and husband James Davis, and Rick Anthony Freeman and wife Carolyn; by his nieces and nephews, John Davidson, Tony Robert Gray, LaRee Freeman, and Katie Freeman; as well as six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Robert will be dearly missed by the many who loved him.
