Richard Henry Oliver Sr. was born on October 9, 1936 to his father, Cecil Duval Oliver, and his mother, Margaret (Thompson) Oliver. Richard passed away from this life on November 20, 2021.

Richard lived around Los Angeles and the 29 Palms area in California, and he moved around ending up in other places such as Yerington and Reno Nevada. He joined the Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1955, and in this same year he married Laurel Stephens. He later divorced her in 1971 and married Leona Wilson Lefebve in 1973. Richard had six children, two of whom who were Leona's that he took on and raised. Richard worked for General Motors until retirement. Richard liked doing crosswords, watching Star Trek, and he enjoyed Dr. Pepper and Cherry Mash.

Richard is survived by his son, Kirk Oliver, his stepchildren Angela and Robert Wilson, and fourteen grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends.

Richard is predeceased by his wife, Mary; by his son, Henry; his daughter, Rebecca Rex and husband Scott, and his daughter Roberta Rodrigues and husband Goon Golden; a brother Cecil Oliver and a sister Beverly Oliver.
