Norman Dee Stringfellow was born February 24, 1941 near Wetumka, Oklahoma to William and Ollie (Kitchens) Stringfellow and passed from this life January 30, 2018 in Tulsa at the age of 76.

Norman was raised in the Wetumka area and attended Wetumka School. He excelled in athletics and lettered in football, basketball, and track. After school he relocated to Tulsa where he married Patsy Cora Hansen and to this union two daughters were born, Dinah and Teresa. He was employed by the Tulsa Board Of Education and provided maintenance services for Tulsa Public Schools.

Norman enjoyed creating arts and crafts for his family and shared his artistic abilities through painting.

Norman was affiliated with the First Baptist Church in Turley where he worked with the junior boys Sunday School class.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Edna Jones, Arlie Hendrix Stringfellow, William Lee Stringfellow, J.D. Stringfellow, Loretta Bryant, Melvin Stringfellow, Gertrude Mattson, Rosa Lee Shands, Donald Dale Stringfellow, and Patsy Jo Scott.

Survivors include: two daughters, Dinah Sue Loranger and husband Mark of Washington and Teresa Ann Long and husband Terry of Norman; two sisters, Mary Alice Wright and husband Nolan of Tulsa and Joyce Long and husband Wayne of Okemah, and a sister-in-law, Bertie Lou Stringfellow, of Wetumka; a brother, Kenneth Ray Stringfellow and wife Shirley of Hectorville; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 2. 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Spradlin Memorial Chapel at Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home with Rev Claude Butler officiating. Preston Long, Ricky Long, Donnie Long, Kenny Stringfellow, Tommy Stringfellow, and Curtis Leftwich will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Aron Stringfellow, Bobby Bryant, Kevin Stringfellow, and Terry Stringfellow. Interment will be in the Wetumka Cemetery under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home.
