Mary Ruth Walker was born January 2, 1963 in Cushing, Oklahoma to Leroy and Ruthie Clark and passed from this life on August 21, 2020 in Weleetka, Oklahoma at the age of 57.

Mary was raised in Welty, Oklahoma around the Gypsy area where she attended the local school. On July 8, 1980, she married Aaron Walker. They had one son, Aaron Walker, Jr., in August of 1982. They moved to Weleetka around 1985.

She loved her Lord, going to church, and singing at church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, bonfires, fishing, riding the boat, and doing crafts and painting with her two granddaughters. She enjoyed going to gospel singings and Bluegrass Festivals. And by golly, if she was on the road and she seen a yard sale of flea market, she was stopping to look! Mary loved going to yard sales and finding treasures… it was one of her favorite hobbies. She loved going on shopping trips with her cousin, Teresa. She also enjoyed working in her flowerbeds and in the garden. After the work was done for the day, Mary and Aaron would sit on their front porch watching the hummingbirds feed, watching the cows graze, and throwing balls for their two spoiled dogs.

This July 8, 2020, Mary and Aaron celebrated their 40 ^th Wedding Anniversary. The two love birds went on a week-long road trip. First, they stopped in Dodge City, Kansas, where they walked through a recreated Old West street, watched a gunfight re-enactment, and attended a rodeo. Next, they drove to Colorado to see Pike's Peak. Then they ventured on north to see breathtaking scenery through Yellowstone National Park and Cody, Wyoming. Lastly, they headed east to visit Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. They had a great time making memories and taking in God's beautiful creation.

Mary was preceded in death by her dad, Leroy Clark; grandparents, Thurman Welch, Perry and Lillie Connor, Roy and Sadie Clark, and nephew Ricky Lewis.

Mary is survived by her mother, Ruthie Clark of Drumright, Oklahoma; husband, Aaron Walker of Weleetka; son, Aaron Walker, Jr. and wife Melanie of Weleetka; two granddaughters, Abigail Grace and Madison Faith of Weleetka; sister, Debra Lewis of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, Roy (Bo) Clark and wife Terisa of Depew, Oklahoma; brother, Melvin Clark and wife Dana of Tulsa; many nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Mary Walker will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, August 25 at the Allen Free Will Baptist Church in Weleetka, OK with Rev. Aaron Walker and Tom Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Weleetka, Oklahoma. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Weleetka.
