Obituary

Marty Moses Birdcreek, 54, passed away on January 13, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Marty was born on December 18, 1963 to Eugene and Dora Mae Birdcreek in Wetumka, Oklahoma. He attended and graduated from Weleetka Public Schools in 1982. While in school he was active in sports. He loved to play football and baseball, and he created great memories with his teammates. After graduating from Weleetka, he attended OSU Tech in Okmulgee, pursuing an education in auto mechanics. After completing his education, he took a position with Andy Granitelli Tune-Up masters as a mechanic and worked for shops in Tulsa and Fort Worth. After working several years as a mechanic, he was lead to a career of caring for people. He went back to school and became a CNA and later a CMA, and he worked in this field for several years, up until the time of his passing.

Marty was a great father, brother, uncle, and friend to all. He always had a smile on his face every time he saw you, and depending on the season he always talked about sports. He had several passions, including OU football, drag racing, fishing, and his Chicago Cubs. He would always talk about watching the races on ESPN and would go whenever he had the chance. He also loved to fish. He would leave early in the morning sometimes after working his late night shift, tired or not--nothing seemed to matter when it came to fishing. He would frequent flea markets and auctions, looking for rods, reels, or anything that had to do with fishing. Then there was his beloved Chicago Cubs. He wasn't someone that jumped on the bandwagon when they were good--he pulled for them even when they weren't. It didn't seem to matter, good or not, they were his team, so when they won the World Series he was proud and happy.

Marty is survived by his love, Debbie Minnick, son, Josh Birdcreek, Timmy Lowe, Mikey Lowe, and Ryan Minnick of the home; brother Louis and Charlene Scott of Tulsa; sister Joyce Harrison of Weleetka; brother, Stanley Birdcreek of Weleetka; sister, Sylvia and Joe Crawford of Weleetka; and several nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Dora Mae Birdcreek, and nephew, Brett Birdcreek.
