Mark Edwin Mason was born August 31, 1955 in Weleetka, Oklahoma to Bobby Lewis Mason and Charlotte (Holcomb) Mason and passed from this life on July 13, 2018 at his home in Weleetka at the age of 62.

Mark was raised in Weleetka and attended Weleetka School. He was a 1973 graduate of Weleetka High School. Following graduation Mark attended vo-tech training and received certification to operate heavy equipment. He worked some twenty years in the Tulsa area on street and parking lot construction for the Golden Construction Company. He returned to Weleetka several years ago when crippling arthritis disabled him. Mark enjoyed yardwork and landscaping.

In 1961 his father tragically died in a car/train accident. His mother later married Roger Allen and he also preceded Mark in death. Two infant brothers also died earlier.

Survivors include his mother Charlotte Allen, a brother Mike Mason, and his companion Lisa Lambert, all of Weleetka, along with a daughter, a grandchild, several cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

Graveside rites will be held Saturday, July 14 at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Weleetka with Rev. Dale Wallace and Rev. Don Williamson officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Weleetka and Wetumka.
