Lawana Michelle Austin was born November 15, 1973 in Henryetta to Linda Polson and passed from this life September 1, 2022 in Henryetta at the age of 48.

Lawana was raised in the Dustin area and attended the Dustin School. She married Curtin Wayne Austin and to this union three sons were born. She spent most of her life in the Henryetta area but had spent a few years in Oklahoma City where she worked at a church day care. When she returned to Henryetta she worked at a church day care in Okmulgee.

Lawana enjoyed riding motorcycles and also was very artistic as was seen in her flower arranging and paintings.

She was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents.

Survivors include: three sons, Corey Wayne Austin of Henryetta, Andrew Phillip Austin of Iowa, and Isaac Austin of Dustin; a special friend Julie Nolan of Weleetka; along with several aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at the Spradlin Memorial Chapel at the Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home in Wetumka on Tuesday, September 6 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert Bray officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Kamal Hassan, Clint Paterson, Julie Nolan, Billy Bothrope, Ray Johnson, and her sons Corey, Andrew, and Isaac Austin.
