Justin Clayton Sandlin was born August 29, 1973 in Norman, Oklahoma to Richard (Rick) Sandlin and Sharon (Milam) Sandlin and passed from this life July 26. 2023 at the age of 49.

Justin was raised in Weleetka and attended Weleetka Schools. He was a 1991 graduate of Weleetka High School where he participated in football and track.

While still a Senior he suffered a severe brain tumor. He received numerous chemotherapy and radiation treatments but it did not stop him from attending Southeastern State College in Durant. He graduated from there in 1998 with a Bachelor's of Science degree with a focus in wildlife management.

Justin became employed with the United States Park Service where he served in Missouri, North Carolina, and California. His health issues forced him into early retirement some ten years ago.

Of course, he enjoyed the outdoors and loved all types of animals, domestic and wildlife. As his health allowed, he also enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include: his father Rick Sandlin and wife Linda of Spiro and his mother Sharon Moad and husband Harold of Hobart; siblings, Katy Cockley and husband Jeff and Sarah Dosier, all of Hobart, and Amanda Conrad and husband Acie and Nathan Sandlin and wife Megan, all of Spiro; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
