Irene Moody, 87, of Wetumka, was born September 28, 1929 to Thomas Shatswell and Flora (Robinson) Shatswell and passed away on November 21, 2016.

Irene is survived by her sister Alpha Dumler; and her daughters Janie Charries and Donna Jones; and daughter-in-law Linda Overman; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Irene is preceded in death by her husband Don Moody; her son Ronnie Overman; her daughter Joyce Coe; and Carl Shatswell.

She loved to sing and participates in Nashville Now as Loretta Lynn. She loved going out to eat, and she loved shopping. Irene especially loved going to the casino. Irene was loved by many and will be missed very much!

Visitation was held at Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, November 28 beginning at 9:00am. The funeral service was held on Monday, November 28 at 2:00pm. A private interment at Hillcrest Cemetery in Weleetka followed.
