Harold Newman was born in Calvin, Oklahoma on February 11, 1924 to Charlie and Rena Mae (Cook) Newman. He passed on April 26, 2017 in Seminole, Oklahoma.

In 1946 Harold married his wife Darlene, and this union was blessed with two children.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Darlene; daughter, Linda Parker; and brother, Audie Newman. He is survived by son, Leroy Newman and his wife Regina of Wetumka; three sisters, Flora Mae Dyer, Violet Pack, and Dean Parker; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of folks who loved him dearly.

Harold was a World War II veteran stationed in Europe. After being honorably discharged, he went to work in the construction industry for Muskogee Bridge Company. Harold was an avid fisherman. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 2:00pm at the Church of Christ in Wetumka. Interment will follow at the Wetumka Cemetery under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home.
