BROCKMAN – Gene M., 90, passed peacefully at St. Anthony's Hospital in OKC on the evening of June 13, 2018 after battling persistent health problems.  Gene was born January 21, 1928 near Wetumka (Greasy Creek) to John Walter Sr. and Laura Ann Brockman.  He was the youngest of 15 half brothers and sisters.

Gene is survived by his son David, daughters Lisa Ann and Caralou, nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years and love of his life Mary Kathryn, his daughter Glenna Joyce and brother Junior.

Gene was a proud citizen of the Wetumka, OK community and enjoyed a successful career in pipelining and ranching.  He was a devout member of the Masonic Lodge, and his passing is a great loss for the many who loved and cared dearly for him.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 29 at 1:00 p.m. at the Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home (405-452-3231) in Wetumka, OK.  Friends and family will be invited to share thoughts about or personal experiences with Gene during the memorial service.  Interment immediately following at the Wetumka cemetery.
