Evelyn Lucille (Johnson) Holder passed from this life on October 21, 2018 in Holdenville, OK. Evelyn was born at home in Kansas City, Kansas on May 24th, 1934 to Thomas and Bertha Johnson. Ms. Holder was a longtime resident of Wagoner, OK and a member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church.

Evelyn was an avid fisherman all of her life. Her greatest catch was a spoonbill at Ft. Gibson Lake. She was always an adventurous soul, moving to California and joining a motorcycle club and riding up and down the coast. Evelyn was the family member who was always there to care for others in their time of need and helped anyone she could whether it was with time, food, or a ride to the doctor. She always saw the good in others and prayed daily for those near and dear. She will be greatly missed and remembered always.

Evelyn was the oldest of 10 children and helped raise her siblings. She is survived by her siblings Bonnie Koger of Wetumka, Joyce Bailey and husband Gene of Lee's Summit, MO, Dean Johnson and wife Marion of Grandview, MO, Edward Johnson and wife Velma of Columbia, MO, Tom Johnson and wife Chris of Grandview, MO. Proceeding her in death are her parents Thomas and Bertha Johnson, siblings; Leonard Neil Johnson, Cheryl Ann Chartier, Bill Johnson and Rick Johnson. Evelyn had no children of her own but loved her nieces and nephews as if they were.

Pallbearers are Richard Roush, Steven Kroger, TJ Carter, Amie Leader and Randy Leader. Honorary pallbearers are Trey and Easton Carter.

A graveside service will be held Friday, October 26th, 2018 at 2pm at the Gopher Hill Family family cemetery directed by the Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka.
