David Lewis Wright, born on August 27, 1963, in Weleetka, Oklahoma, to Will Lewis Wright and Josephine Lilly Fish-Wright and passed away on October 18, 2024, in Dustin, Oklahoma. A cherished member of his community, David was known for his infectious spirit and love for life.

David had a deep passion for the outdoors, often spending his days coon hunting, fishing, and attending turkey shoots with his father. He also enjoyed raising game chickens and sharing his knowledge with his cousin Bobby Strickland. David's fondness for family was evident in his close relationship with his cousins, particularly Daniel and Angie Barrett, with whom he loved to spend time with.

A good home-cooked meal was one of David's greatest pleasures, and he had an enduring appreciation for music, particularly the oldies. His home, where he lived with his two little dogs, Peaches and Molly, was his favorite place in the world.

David is survived by his sister, Linda Sue Wright-Fish of Wetumka, Oklahoma; and his nieces, Tracy Grider- Armstrong of Checotah, Oklahoma, Kacy Wright-Hobia of Wetumka and Amy Fish-Hobia of Tulsa, as well as his nephew, Jackie Ray Grider of North Carolina, along with many great-nieces and great-nephews. He will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and the joy he brought to those around him.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 23, at the Williamson Spradlin Funeral Home Chapel from 4PM to 8PM

Funeral Services for David Wright will be held Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Middle Creek #1 at 2:00 PM.

Rev. Mark Smith will officiate.

Services are under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka.
