Daniel "Dan" Coachman, age 78 of Wetumka OK passed away February 23, 2024. Daniel was born October 15, 1945 in Wetumka OK to Albert Coachman and Abbie Wesley Coachman.
Daniel graduated Wetumka High School and shortly joined the Navy. Then afterwards went to school at Okmulgee TECH.  Then he went on to marry Wilma Roberts Coachman. Out of that union they had 3 children, Denise, Patrick Samuel & Kendall Ward Coachman. Daniel worked for Indian Health Service for over 30 years until his retirement. He was a Deacon for Sand Creek Baptist Church. In his younger years he enjoyed playing fast pitch softball with his brother & friends. He always enjoyed watching his grandson Kamden Rae & Mozes Mengasha in whatever they was doing. He would carry them around everywhere when they was younger & always had them outside playing at home. Daniel enjoyed going to church & watching sports on TV with his late wife Wilma. After Wilmas passing Daniel would spend time with his family & Wilmas talking about their time together. When his sister in law Fuzzy would make big meals they would always take him food which he loved.
Daniel was a member of Sand Creek Baptist Church where he was a Deacon until he could no longer get around.

Daniel is preceded in death by his wife Wilma, their son Patrick Samuel Coachman who he will be reunited with, brothers Guy Coachman, Samuel Coachman & Alec Buck, parents Albert & Abbie Coachman. Nephews Aaron, Warren & Mark Coachman.

Daniel is leaving behind one daughter Denise Coachman of Wetumka, Kendall Coachman of Wetumka. Two grandsons Kamden Rae Coachman & Mozes Mengasha Coachman of Wetumka.  Brother Darrell Coachman & wife Susie (Wetumka) sisters Lucinda Coachman(Wetumka) & Louisa Bruner of Kansas. sister in law Nellie Roberts & Carolyn Fultz of Wetumka & brother in law Walter Roberts Jr. of Dustin. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews & lots of cousins whom he loved dearly.
Visitation will be held at Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka on Wednesday February 28, from 1pm to 8pm. Visitation will be held at Sand Creek Baptist Church Thursday at 4:30 with a wake service that evening. Funeral services will be held on Friday March 1st at 2pm at Sand Creek Baptist Church. Daniel will surely be missed by all.
