Carolyn June Hill was born June 18, 1943 in Westville, Oklahoma to Bud Crawford and Crystal Butler Crawford and passed from this life March 14, 2024 in Tulsa at the age of 80.

June's father did seasonal work around the country so she lived in several communities between Oklahoma and California but her home was primarily in the Greasy Creek area near Wetumka. She attended Wetumka School. As a young lady she married the love of her life, Kenneth Hill, in 1959 and they were married almost 65 years. They briefly relocated from time to time but Wetumka was their life-long home. She worked as a cook in local Wetumka restaurants and as a clerk at the Ranch-O-Tel. She later took over the cooking duties at Wewoka Woods Youth Camp.

Carolyn is mostly remembered as a loving wife and mother. She was described as being a "shadow" to her sweetheart, Kenneth. Carolyn was an avid reader and also enjoyed growing flowers and fishing. She loved going to yard sales and flea markets, and was always looking for a good bargain. Carolyn was a long-time member of the Seventh Day Advent Church. She was a born-again Christian and her family plans to meet her again in Heaven. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Survivors include: her husband Kenneth, of the home; two children, Kenneth Hill and Debbie Leftwich of Wetumka; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, along with several other relatives and many friends.

Viewing and visitation will be Monday, March 18 from 11:00am to 8:00pm. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 19 at 10:00 a.m. at the Wetumka First Methodist Church with Rev. Don Williamson officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in the Wetumka Cemetery under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home.
