With deep sadness we announce the passing of Alta Lee McKay Spear. July 3, 2017, Windermere, FL. Born in Holdenville, Oklahoma, February 21, 1931. We will remember her loving sprit, generous heart and commitment to her family, friends and students. She taught Girls Physical Education, Olney Junior High, and History, Richland County Middle School. An active member of the First Baptist Church, Olney Illinois and Immanuel Baptist Church, Sallisaw, Oklahoma.

Memorial services were held July 8, 2017 in Wetumka, Oklahoma, Willamson-Spradlin Funeral Home. Burial Dustin Cemetery, Dustin, Oklahoma.

She is survived by her husband Nathan Duane Spear, Windermere, FL. Daughter, Kathy Lee VanHoudnos, Springfield, IL. Sons; K.L. Spear, Naples, FL and Kevan Luke Spear, Windermere, FL. Eight Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren.

Throughout the years, Alta (Mrs. Spear to her students) touched
countless people. She will be greatly missed.

Loving and kind in all her ways
Upright and just to the end of her days
Sincere and true, in her heart and mind
Beautiful memories, she left behind.
